Current career opportunities with CellProfiler:
We often have openings on the CellProfiler team for many research interests: biology (high-throughput RNAi and systems biology) and computer science (image analysis, statistics, data mining, data visualization, software engineering).
We also welcome undergraduate or graduate students (through our affiliations with the Whitehead Institute and MIT), postdocs, and permanent staff scientists (all levels) on our team. If your interests are in this area, but do not match a particular job description, please contact us anyway.
The Broad Institute generates millions of images of cells in large scale screens to determine the functions of genes and to identify useful chemicals for research and for therapeutics. The Imaging Platform's mission is to quantify the information present in cellular images to yield biological discoveries. We develop open-source software tools and help biologists at the Broad and throughout the world to apply them to significant questions in the life sciences.
These positions require energetic, independent, quick learners who enjoy working with and building new software and computing systems. The positions offer a stable employment opportunity in academia with ample room for growth and advancement as our group expands. For an ambitious person with research interests, it is also an excellent opportunity to work on scientific publications with an interdisciplinary and collegial team of scientists.
