**NOTE** (Feb 2009) Apple has released "Java for Mac OS X 10.5 Update 3". This update seems to have fixed previous problems with compiled CellProfiler compatibility. However, if you still have trouble editing text boxes, our best solution is to reinstall Java Frameworks over your machine's copy, which you can download here, or use this user contributed disk image - thanks to Will Ashby at Vanderbilt for this.
